Аццкие толмачи, поможите!
Правельно перевести след. фразы:
The "Core Sustaining Investments" section contains basic information related to the system size, costs associated with Foundation Support and MR, the hourly cost of local services and the warranty period that will be quoted for the system. Sustaining Investments are those costs essential to preserving the long-term viability of the system, keeping the system hardware and software at a sustainable level. Many of the defaults used in this section are simply "placeholders" and do not necessarily relate to any real-life situations. Carefully consider entering the correct information in each data entry cell in this section to override the default placeholder data.
The system DST count is used for various calculations in the TCO spreadsheet including the calculation of some default values such as: system price, number of controllers, and number of consoles. The known or estimated total DST count for the proposed system should be entered to override the "placeholder" default value of 3000.
The total system price should include only the cost of hardware and software. Do not include any services. However, if extended warranty is required, add the cost of Extended Warranty to the total system price. In lieu of a manually entered value, the default value will be used based on a rough estimate of $188 to $233 depending on the DST count in use. The table that is used contains the following values (the first number is the system DST count, the second is the approximate cost per DST): 300=$233; 600=$223; 900=$212; 1,200=$212; 1,500=$210; 2,000=$205; 5,000=$196; 10,000=$192; 20,000=$188; 30,000=$188
The total number of workstations proposed for the system will be used in calculations related to console refresh costs during the system's lifecycle. If no value is entered, the default value will be used based on an assumption of: A) one "console" per 500 DSTs with a two "console" minimum; and B) one out of every five "consoles" is assumed to be a server (with a minimum of 1 server) with the balance assumed to be workstations. Thus, a 3000 DST system would have 6 "consoles", with 1 being a server and 5 being workstations.
The current estimated customer price for one workstation less monitor (unless otherwise specified by the customer) can be entered in the input cell. In lieu of a number entry, a default price will be used based on the typical price for a Dell WS360 class machine (less monitor) in January 2005.
The total number of servers proposed for the system will be used in calculations related to console refresh costs during the system's lifecycle. A "0" may be entered to force the number of servers to zero. If the input cell is left blank, the default value will be used based on an assumption of: A) one "console" per 500 DSTs with a two "console" minimum; and B) one out of every five "consoles" is assumed to be a server (with a minimum of 1 server) with the balance assumed to be workstations. Thus, a 3000 DST system would have 6 "consoles", with 1 being a server and 5 being workstations.
The current estimated customer price for one server less monitor (unless otherwise specified by the customer) can be entered in the input cell. In lieu of a number entry, a default price will be used based on the typical price for a 3600 class machine with single CPU (less monitor) in January 200x.
The total number of controllers proposed for the system will be used in calculations related to controller refresh costs during the system's lifecycle. If no value is entered, the default value will be used based on an assumption of one simplex controller per 400 DSTs, with a 1 controller minimum for systems under 400 DSTs. If redundant controllers or a mix of redundant & simplex controllers are to be used, enter the exact number of controllers in the "User Input" column.
The current customer price for one controller less an exchange allowance can be entered in the input cell. In lieu of a number entry, a default price will be used based on the typical controller price in January 200x less a 15% exchange.
The price of Foundation Support (XXXX, where "XXXX" = DST count) based on the proposed system DST count will be entered from a lookup table into the default column based on the pricing in effect in January 2005. The price will be escalated each year across the system lifecycle based on the escalation factor in the "TCO General Factors" section (see note 2.1). If 24-hour Foundation Support is required, look up the price for VE9004SXXXX based on the DST count and enter the value to override the defails.
The current price of vendor (VE9005SXXXX, where "XXXX" = DST count) based on the proposed system DST count will be entered from a lookup table into the defauls column based on the pricing in effect on January 1, 200x. The price will be escalated each year across the system lifecycle based on the escalation factor in the Calculation Defaults section (see note 2.1). In the unlikely event an alternate value is to be used, it may be entered in the "User Input" column and the default value will be overiden.
The cost per hour for local services should be entered in whole dollars. It will be used to calculate controller and console refresh labor, Lifecycle Planning services costs and other on-site labor during the system lifecycle. The default value is fixed at $150 per hour.
The total number of years of warranty required by the RFQ will affect the lifecycle cost calculations. The cost for repairs (EMR) will commence in the year following the last year of warranty in the TCO calculations. It is assumed that the cost of any required extended warranty period will be added into the system price (see note 1.2). If extended warranty is not required, no entry is required as the default value of 1 year will be used.
